Backpack Ministry
Our Church participates in the backpack ministry, where we provide backpacks filled with the needed school supplies for about 150 students at our local elementary school.
Children's Ministry
Ages 4–Pre-Teen
At First Baptist Church of Avondale, our Children's Ministry is dedicated to helping children grow in their faith, build a strong foundation in God's Word, and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through Bible lessons, worship, prayer, fun activities, and meaningful friendships, we create a welcoming and nurturing environment where children can learn about God's love and discover His purpose for their lives.
From our youngest learners to our pre-teens, we strive to make learning about Jesus exciting, engaging, and meaningful at every stage. Our heart is to partner with families in raising a generation that knows God's Word, walks in His truth, and grows to love and serve Him.

Youth Ministry
Teenagers
At First Baptist Church of Avondale, our Youth Ministry is committed to helping teenagers build a strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ while discovering who God created them to be. We provide a place where young people can grow in their faith, ask questions, build meaningful friendships, and navigate life's challenges through the truth of God's Word.
Through Bible studies, worship, fellowship, leadership opportunities, and community outreach, we encourage our youth to develop a faith that goes beyond the walls of the church. Our heart is to equip the next generation to stand firm in their beliefs, live boldly for Christ, and become leaders who positively impact their families, communities, and the world around them.

Senior Ministry
Ages 50+
At First Baptist Church of Avondale, our Senior Ministry is dedicated to encouraging spiritual growth, building lasting friendships, and celebrating the wisdom and experiences that come with every season of life. We believe that faith has no age limit and that every generation has a valuable place in the body of Christ.
Through fellowship, Bible study, worship, special gatherings, and opportunities to serve, we seek to create an environment where our seniors feel connected, encouraged, and strengthened in their walk with the Lord. Our heart is to honor the generations before us, grow together in faith, and continue making a meaningful impact in our church and community.

Fall Food Roundup
Our church is a drop-off point as well as a collection site for the Fall Food Roundup where we team up with the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home. Where they provide LOVE, CARE, and HOPE in Christ to children and families in need.
Operation Christmas Child
Samaritan’s Purse sends gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to children in need around the world together with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our church serves as a drop-off point, collecting from across our area.

New Orleans Baptist Ministries- Free Lunch
Every Thursday New Orleans Baptist Ministries comes out with a food truck and gives our community free lunch. Our community is stronger when we come together, and we look forward to serving you one lunch at a time!
